This superbly powerful rod is capable of long range casting with feeders up to 3 oz (85g). With the right technique, distances approaching 80m can be achieved with remarkable accuracy.

Many other distance feeder models end up imbalanced and over-gunned, and in some cases look more like beach casters than feeder rods!  As a result, they lose tactile contact and feel when playing fish and result in more hook-pulls.

Working with five times World Champion Alan Scotthorne and top international match anglers Steve Hemingray, Darren Davies and England Feeder Team Manager Dean Barlow, we have extensively field tested and modified various Acolyte Distance Feeder prototypes in the UK and Ireland.

The finished model successfully combines the normal feeder rod requirements of bite detection, sensitivity, fish playing feel and balance with ultra long range casting.  It also represents fantastic value for money compared to other models, some of which are more than twice the price!

Optimum mono reel lines are 6lb to 10lb (2.7kg to 4.5kg) or 0.08 to 0.12mm braid. The oversized guides help with the use of shock leaders to gain distance required. The rod is supplied with 2oz, 2.5oz and 3oz Tips, which are also available separately with 2.5oz test curves.

Please note: The spare Drennan Distance Tips are exclusive to this model and do not fit other Acolyte feeder rods outside the Distance Feeder Range.

Available in 9ft, 10ft and 11ft and ideal on commercial carp waters from bank or platform. The rod handles everything from silverfish to F1's and bigger carp.

Optimum mono reel lines are 4lb to 8lb breaking strain. The rod is ideal for casting bombs and feeders at a variety of ranges. The rod includes two tips including a 1.5oz Glass tip and 2.5oz Carbon tip.

These new rods feature a high-grade cork handle with EVA casting grip, screw down reel seat, hook keeper ring, SiC guides throughout and stylish new Vertex branding.
